Clover RPG beginner guide

A fresh Clover RPG character starts at Level 1 with 116 Health, 16 Resolve and 85 Energy (Dark Elf, Kravitz family). Here is the path from character creation to your first quest, as we played it.

Verified in-gameChecked Nov 3, 2026Release (Oct 23, 2026)

1. Create your character

The creation screen is where the game decides your race and family name. Hover any name to read its perks without rolling it. You get 2 free race rerolls and 2 free family rerolls. Hair, face, body and name are cosmetic.

Do not spend Robux here until you have used the free ones. Use the reroll calculator to see what a rare roll costs.

2. Join a server

After Finish you pick a server from the Server List. We used Join Random Server. Do not choose the Colosseum for your first run.

3. The tutorial

It opens with a narrated intro, then asks for a sprint (double-tap W) and a slide (Sprint plus Left Control). Sliding was hard to trigger in our test, and Skip Introduction worked after a quick double click. Then press any key at the loading screen to arrive at the Kamo Village Tavern.

4. Leave the tavern

A short welcome is shown over six pages; wait for the text to finish before continuing. Your room opens to an upstairs corridor, with the stairs at the far end. The bar is in the hall below, and the double doors beside it are the way out. Outside, large trees and low walls block a straight line west, so walk around them to the south.

5. First quest: New Beginnings

Press J to open the Quest Index. The first objective is Find the Kamo Village Chief: Talk to Chief Farris (0/1). The description says his house stands out in town because of its green roof. Follow the distance marker rather than the roof colour.

6. When do you get magic?

Not at the start. A level 1 character shows "No Magic", and the Stats tab says User's magic ability is suppressed. The in-game Magic Guide says to reach level 15 and go to the library at Wisdom's Peak to receive your magic. See how magic works.

7. What does the game's own Starter Guide say?

Open Help (?) and pick Starter Guide: "Progression is non-linear. There is no single route you have to follow." If you are unsure where to start, complete quests around the world and explore; new areas hold new people, rewards and secrets.

Clover RPG Starter Guide in the help menu: progression is non-linear, so complete quests around the world and explore
Help → Starter Guide, read Nov 5, 2026.

8. What do the stats do?

You start with 0 stat points. The in-game tooltips say:

  • Agility: improves movement and combat finesse.
  • Endurance: increases maximum resolve.
  • Intelligence: increases maximum mana capacity.
  • Strength: increases misdirect damage, Physical Armor PEN and carry weight (+1 per point).
  • Vitality: increases toughness and boosts maximum health.

The game does not say how much per point, so we do not either. This guide grows as we play further.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change my race and family after creating a character?

The free rerolls are on the creation screen, so use them before you press Finish. Paid resets exist as Robux products (for example Reset Slot at 125 Robux), but we recommend deciding at creation.

Can I skip the tutorial?

Yes. There is a Skip Introduction button. In our test it needed a quick double click.

Where do I go after the tavern?

Your first quest, New Beginnings, says to find the Kamo Village Chief and talk to Chief Farris. Follow the distance marker.

When do I get magic?

At level 15, at the library in Wisdom's Peak, according to the in-game Magic Guide.

Do I start with a weapon?

No. Our fresh character had only Fist and the Quest Index on the hotbar. Weapons come from early quests.
